The “classic” iPad 9 is, for its part, still quite mysterious, but it should also enjoy a thinner chassis (with a screen potentially rid of its ugly borders) and a faster processor. Its design would be close to that used by the iPad Air 2020 but with a significantly more compact chassis. In it, we should find an Apple 15 Bionic chip (the same as on the iPhone 13), as well as a MagSafe magnetic charging connector and a USB-C port. According to Mark Gurman, the iPad Mini 6 is destined “to become a favourite of Apple fans thanks to its thinner edges and complete redesign”. Both would replace the current models respectively launched in 20, but with a unique design.
